Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Holdings & Investments, Transport and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 19.91% or 0.840 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) added 9.68% or 2.70 points to end at 30.60 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 5.65% or 0.290 points to 5.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC), which lost 4.02% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.580 in late trade. Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO) declined 2.82% or 0.020 points to end at 0.690 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) shed 2.44% or 0.010 points to 0.400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 182 to 155 and 69 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $1225.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.43% or 0.30 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.12 to trade at $74.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.32% to 4.8509, while EUR/TRY fell 0.31% to 5.6556.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.47.
