Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Transport and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.76% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 10.75% or 0.600 points to trade at 6.180 at the close. Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 6.82% or 1.660 points to end at 26.000 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was up 6.51% or 1.21 points to 19.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which lost 2.46% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.920 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 2.09% or 0.34 points to end at 15.90 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) shed 2.09% or 2.40 points to 112.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 234 to 113 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.72% or 9.00 to $1266.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.40% or 0.23 to hit $57.56 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.63% or 0.40 to trade at $63.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.88% to 3.8276, while EUR/TRY fell 0.34% to 4.5234.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 93.03.
