Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Textile & Leather and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.74% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ), which rose 4.69% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.340 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 4.13% or 1.26 points to end at 31.80 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was up 3.39% or 0.060 points to 1.830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turcas Petrol AS (IS:TRCAS), which lost 2.06% or 0.050 points to trade at 2.380 in late trade. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) declined 1.56% or 0.070 points to end at 4.410 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) shed 1.53% or 0.040 points to 2.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 193 to 154 and 56 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.59% or 7.70 to $1304.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.50% or 0.30 to hit $60.14 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.37 to trade at $66.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.38% to 3.7889, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 4.5498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 91.92.
