Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which rose 10.00% or 4.22 points to trade at 46.42 at the close. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) added 9.94% or 0.54 points to end at 5.97 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was up 4.65% or 2.04 points to 45.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tukas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:TUKAS), which lost 4.06% or 0.39 points to trade at 9.21 in late trade. Ard Grup Bilisim Teknolojileri AS (IS:ARDYZ) declined 3.72% or 1.44 points to end at 37.28 and Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS) shed 3.33% or 1.32 points to 38.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 376 to 175 and 22 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.00% or 24.35 to $2,456.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.30% or 0.98 to hit $76.21 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.64 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 33.48, while EUR/TRY rose 0.21% to 36.64.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 103.10.
