Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Food & Beverages and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.67% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BFREN), which rose 6.60% or 56.50 points to trade at 913.00 at the close. Tukas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:TUKAS) added 5.10% or 0.40 points to end at 8.25 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was up 4.91% or 42.00 points to 897.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM), which lost 4.39% or 7.20 points to trade at 156.80 in late trade. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) declined 4.25% or 2.06 points to end at 46.46 and Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT) shed 3.79% or 0.63 points to 15.98.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 342 to 213 and 15 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.54% or 37.40 to $2,466.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.24% or 1.00 to hit $79.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.10% or 0.93 to trade at $83.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 33.07, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 35.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.09.
