Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Transport and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which rose 5.85% or 11.60 points to trade at 210.00 at the close. Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) added 4.54% or 1.44 points to end at 33.18 and Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) was up 4.34% or 0.62 points to 14.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which lost 5.91% or 3.40 points to trade at 54.15 in late trade. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) declined 3.89% or 30.50 points to end at 754.50 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 3.85% or 6.00 points to 149.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 323 to 229 and 17 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.90 to $2,328.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.45% or 0.35 to hit $78.09 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.46 to trade at $82.09 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 32.35, while EUR/TRY fell 0.38% to 34.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 105.00.
