Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 7.84% or 5.15 points to trade at 70.80 at the close. Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) added 7.43% or 31.25 points to end at 451.75 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 5.73% or 52.50 points to 968.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK), which lost 2.29% or 1.25 points to trade at 53.25 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.12% or 0.58 points to end at 26.72 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) shed 2.07% or 0.56 points to 26.54.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 466 to 97 and 16 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.68% or 18.30 to $2,709.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.08 to trade at $74.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 34.12, while EUR/TRY fell 0.37% to 36.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.52.
