Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 5.77% or 2.32 points to trade at 42.52 at the close. Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) added 4.73% or 1.08 points to end at 23.92 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was up 4.23% or 2.25 points to 55.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which lost 4.79% or 18.00 points to trade at 358.00 in late trade. Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS) declined 4.41% or 2.35 points to end at 50.90 and Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL) shed 2.53% or 0.34 points to 13.11.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 287 to 275 and 21 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.06% or 1.46 to $2,626.74 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.68% or 1.16 to hit $70.40 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.44% or 1.04 to trade at $73.36 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 35.26, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 36.66.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 107.93.
