Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Tourism and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR), which rose 8.42% or 8.00 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) added 8.01% or 16.60 points to end at 223.90 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was up 7.57% or 13.80 points to 196.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE), which lost 8.50% or 1.45 points to trade at 15.60 in late trade. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) declined 3.17% or 26.00 points to end at 794.00 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) shed 2.98% or 4.40 points to 143.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 341 to 211 and 19 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.21% or 28.60 to $2,340.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $81.28 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.02 to trade at $85.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 32.84, while EUR/TRY rose 0.03% to 35.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 105.54.
