Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Basic Metals and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which rose 6.62% or 1.78 points to trade at 28.68 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) added 5.14% or 2.38 points to end at 48.70 and Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS:SMRTG) was up 4.26% or 1.82 points to 44.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA), which lost 6.17% or 2.04 points to trade at 31.04 in late trade. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 4.58% or 11.20 points to end at 233.50 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) shed 4.12% or 2.07 points to 48.18.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 331 to 225 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.33% or 33.80 to $2,513.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.84% or 1.32 to hit $73.25 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.80% or 1.37 to trade at $77.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 33.91, while EUR/TRY fell 0.26% to 37.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 101.39.
