Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Banking and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.15% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 6.80% or 3.55 points to trade at 55.75 at the close. Europen Endustri Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi (IS:EUREN) added 6.66% or 0.99 points to end at 15.85 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was up 4.31% or 1.90 points to 45.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which lost 5.26% or 8.80 points to trade at 158.50 in late trade. Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) declined 3.79% or 8.20 points to end at 208.00 and Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) shed 3.74% or 1.95 points to 50.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 392 to 169 and 12 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.03% or 49.85 to $2,406.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.56% or 1.27 to hit $80.03 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 1.07 to trade at $84.04 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 33.05, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 36.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.06.
