Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Wood, Paper & Printing and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were LDR Turizm AS (IS:LIDER), which rose 6.78% or 9.30 points to trade at 146.50 at the close. Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE) added 5.88% or 0.10 points to end at 1.80 and Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) was up 4.90% or 0.71 points to 15.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which lost 4.13% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.16 in late trade. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) declined 3.85% or 1.82 points to end at 45.44 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) shed 3.49% or 1.72 points to 47.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 402 to 162 and 17 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.29% or 7.59 to $2,647.11 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.81% or 0.60 to hit $74.56 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.56 to trade at $77.07 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.04% to 35.32, while EUR/TRY rose 0.76% to 36.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 108.14.
