Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Holdings & Investments, Basic Metals and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 9.47% or 0.500 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 8.33% or 0.080 points to end at 1.040 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 6.88% or 1.21 points to 18.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which lost 6.88% or 0.810 points to trade at 10.960 in late trade. Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) declined 3.20% or 0.070 points to end at 2.120 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) shed 3.13% or 0.030 points to 0.930.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 145 and 44 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.95% or 12.70 to $1320.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.69% or 0.44 to hit $63.47 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.29 to trade at $67.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.52% to 3.8056, while EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 4.6609.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 90.27.
