Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Electronic Products Distribution and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were ALi Corp (TW:3041), which rose 9.97% or 2.85 points to trade at 31.45 at the close. Logah Technology Corp (TW:3593) added 8.65% or 0.64 points to end at 8.04 and Tai Roun Products Co Ltd (TW:1220) was up 8.36% or 1.40 points to 18.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd (TW:1449), which lost 9.95% or 2.90 points to trade at 26.25 in late trade. Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) declined 9.94% or 2.60 points to end at 23.55 and Formosa Oilseed Processing Co Ltd (TW:1225) shed 9.91% or 7.60 points to 69.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.69% or 0.47 to $69.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.65% or 0.47 to hit $72.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 10.19 to trade at $2,728.59 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.06% to 32.55, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 106.09.
