Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , Trading & Consumer Goods and Textile sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. King’s Town Construction Co Ltd (TW:2524) added 9.97% or 7.50 points to end at 82.70 and Lien Chang Electronic Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:2431) was up 9.97% or 1.70 points to 18.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Makalot Industrial Co Ltd (TW:1477) declined 9.64% or 33.50 points to end at 314.00 and Danen Technology Corp (TW:3686) shed 7.23% or 1.85 points to 23.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.81% or 1.26 to $70.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.68% or 1.23 to hit $74.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.30 to trade at $2,748.90 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.56% to 31.76, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 103.59.
