Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Basic Metals and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO), which rose 9.70% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.750 at the close. Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 5.26% or 0.060 points to end at 1.200 and Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) was up 2.05% or 0.030 points to 1.490 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL), which lost 3.61% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.800 in late trade. Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) declined 3.40% or 0.150 points to end at 4.260 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) shed 2.45% or 0.15 points to 5.96.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 221 to 112 and 73 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.21% or 2.75 to $1323.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.46% or 0.22 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.17 to trade at $49.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.0004, while EUR/TRY rose 0.18% to 3.3712.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.34.
