Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 0.05% or 0.1 points to trade at 219.1 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) fell 0.27% or 2.5 points to end at 907.5 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.36% or 0.14 points to 38.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 2.93% or 4.10 points to trade at 135.80 in late trade. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) declined 2.91% or 5.2 points to end at 173.2 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.61% or 0.96 points to 35.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 488 to 184 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.38% or 0.67 to $49.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.61% or 0.83 to hit $52.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.67% or 20.70 to trade at $1257.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 9.7454, while USD/SEK fell 0.46% to 8.7520.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 97.56.
