Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.57% or 3.8 points to trade at 151.7 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 0.97% or 1.10 points to end at 114.60 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 0.37% or 0.90 points to 242.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs), which lost 3.68% or 8.4 points to trade at 220.0 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.79% or 3.1 points to end at 170.1 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) shed 1.73% or 8.8 points to 499.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 305 to 238 and 57 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.39% or 0.21 to $53.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $55.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1133.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.92% to 9.6221, while USD/SEK fell 1.34% to 9.2242.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 103.00.
