Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which rose 0.77% or 1.3 points to trade at 170.3 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) added 0.49% or 0.50 points to end at 103.40 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was up 0.48% or 1.7 points to 353.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 4.68% or 7.80 points to trade at 158.90 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 2.76% or 3.20 points to end at 112.70 and TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN) shed 1.86% or 0.95 points to 50.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 245 to 185 and 2 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.69% or 0.29 to $42.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.70% or 0.34 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 1.90 to trade at $1113.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.12% to 9.4654, while USD/SEK rose 0.47% to 8.5190.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 96.61.
