Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 0.66% or 2.3 points to trade at 352.0 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 0.44% or 0.80 points to end at 182.80 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 0.28% or 0.30 points to 107.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which lost 2.00% or 5.6 points to trade at 273.9 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 1.85% or 2.20 points to end at 116.90 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 1.81% or 1.60 points to 86.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 255 to 185 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.75% or 0.79 to $44.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.51 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.60 to trade at $1089.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.70% to 9.5522, while USD/SEK rose 0.57% to 8.7472.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.93.
