Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 0.88% or 15.00 points to trade at 1,711.50 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 0.08% or 0.06 points to end at 73.32 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.10% or 0.03 points to 31.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which lost 5.08% or 1.47 points to trade at 27.49 in late trade. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 5.06% or 0.34 points to end at 6.45 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) shed 4.33% or 7.30 points to 160.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 569 to 197 and 76 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.87% or 0.68 to $77.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.63% or 0.51 to hit $80.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 16.20 to trade at $2,489.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 11.55, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 10.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 104.13.
