Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.04% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 0.58% or 0.60 points to trade at 104.60 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 0.54% or 0.22 points to end at 41.10 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 0.19% or 0.16 points to 85.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa), which lost 3.81% or 9.7 points to trade at 243.7 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.43% or 7.8 points to end at 217.9 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) shed 3.40% or 17.0 points to 482.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 404 to 207 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.05 to $74.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.23 to hit $77.99 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.80 to trade at $1257.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.68% to 10.2325, while USD/SEK fell 0.54% to 8.7902.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.36.
