Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 2.31% or 4.90 points to trade at 217.10 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 1.38% or 4.30 points to end at 315.70 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 0.80% or 0.26 points to 32.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 6.32% or 0.42 points to trade at 6.21 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 5.59% or 17.40 points to end at 293.60 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) shed 3.50% or 1.04 points to 28.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 591 to 189 and 83 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.89% or 2.86 to $70.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.40% or 3.41 to hit $74.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.20 to trade at $2,520.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.31% to 11.38, while USD/SEK rose 0.57% to 10.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 101.73.
