Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.54% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 3.93% or 0.16 points to trade at 4.17 at the close. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 3.65% or 8.80 points to end at 248.70 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 1.62% or 0.50 points to 31.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 2.20% or 1.90 points to trade at 84.40 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 1.83% or 4.00 points to end at 214.30 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 1.66% or 4.50 points to 266.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 477 to 287 and 71 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.16% or 0.11 to $69.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.22% or 0.16 to hit $73.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 15.20 to trade at $2,629.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 11.57, while USD/SEK rose 0.33% to 10.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 106.22.
