Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.36% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 0.97% or 10.0 points to trade at 1038.0 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 0.95% or 0.8 points to end at 80.0 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 0.90% or 1.7 points to 191.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 2.05% or 0.81 points to trade at 38.77 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.99% or 5.60 points to end at 276.00 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 1.42% or 3.50 points to 243.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 379 to 228 and 60 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.70% or 1.00 to $57.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $63.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 8.11 to trade at $1295.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.8827, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.2925.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 92.71.
