Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.62% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 3.53% or 5.8 points to trade at 170.0 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.56% or 0.80 points to end at 32.02 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.30% or 2.4 points to 106.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 2.12% or 1.08 points to trade at 49.92 in late trade. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) declined 1.93% or 3.8 points to end at 193.3 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 1.51% or 8.50 points to 554.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 291 to 274 and 39 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.72% or 0.73 to $43.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.75% or 0.77 to hit $44.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1254.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.1659, while USD/SEK rose 0.08% to 8.0922.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.28.
