Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.21% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.03% or 16.40 points to trade at 342.60 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.94% or 8.60 points to end at 226.70 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 3.75% or 3.90 points to 107.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 4.60% or 8.40 points to trade at 173.00 in late trade. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 4.58% or 0.37 points to end at 7.72 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 2.19% or 2.60 points to 116.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 462 to 319 and 82 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.34% or 1.63 to $68.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.04% or 1.49 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 3.75 to trade at $2,688.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 11.31, while USD/SEK fell 0.46% to 10.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.33.
