Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 3.03% or 6.4 points to trade at 217.3 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 2.87% or 2.05 points to end at 73.55 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 2.84% or 4.50 points to 162.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which lost 0.89% or 1.2 points to trade at 134.1 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.31% or 0.25 points to end at 81.30 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) shed 0.14% or 0.09 points to 64.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 406 to 185 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.65% or 1.32 to $48.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.79% or 1.43 to hit $49.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.65 to trade at $1323.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 9.4037, while USD/SEK rose 0.78% to 8.5217.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 96.45.
