Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 13.43% or 13.50 points to trade at 114.05 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 8.83% or 5.97 points to end at 73.55 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.12% or 1.35 points to 44.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 3.08% or 3.0 points to trade at 93.0 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 2.75% or 2.78 points to end at 98.42 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 1.78% or 3.5 points to 190.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 348 to 290 and 46 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.20 to $67.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.44% or 0.32 to hit $72.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1226.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 10.3161, while USD/SEK rose 0.14% to 8.8537.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.80.
