Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.81% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which rose 3.55% or 6.40 points to trade at 186.90 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 2.11% or 2.20 points to end at 106.40 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 2.05% or 2.20 points to 109.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 3.96% or 11.2 points to trade at 271.3 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 3.28% or 0.75 points to end at 22.10 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) shed 1.28% or 13.0 points to 1006.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 390 to 331 and 94 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.44% or 0.23 to $52.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.64% or 0.37 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 12.53 to trade at $1289.17 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.5779, while USD/SEK rose 0.43% to 8.1538.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 93.19.
