Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.81% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 6.68% or 3.40 points to trade at 54.30 at the close. SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 4.28% or 9.00 points to end at 219.40 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 2.67% or 2.70 points to 104.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 4.86% or 11.20 points to trade at 219.30 in late trade. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 1.90% or 2.30 points to end at 118.50 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 1.51% or 3.30 points to 214.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 451 to 310 and 92 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.15% or 1.54 to $70.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.71% or 1.27 to hit $73.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 3.10 to trade at $2,680.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.50% to 11.34, while USD/SEK rose 0.81% to 10.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 100.53.
