Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which rose 7.71% or 1.70 points to trade at 23.76 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) added 6.37% or 0.36 points to end at 6.01 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) was up 2.93% or 2.60 points to 91.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Evolution Gaming Group AB (ST:EVOG), which lost 0.32% or 3.50 points to trade at 1,080.50 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 0.20% or 0.40 points to end at 198.40 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) shed 0.18% or 0.30 points to 169.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 489 to 289 and 72 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.27% or 0.22 to $80.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.36% or 0.31 to hit $85.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 20.65 to trade at $2,367.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 11.21, while USD/SEK rose 0.41% to 10.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 105.26.
