Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.73%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.51% or 2.01 points to trade at 46.57 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 3.15% or 2.50 points to end at 81.75 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 2.31% or 1.80 points to 79.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 7.22% or 5.70 points to trade at 73.20 in late trade. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 1.12% or 2.9 points to end at 255.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 1.01% or 0.30 points to 29.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 341 to 231 and 46 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.51% or 0.25 to $48.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.05% or 0.51 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.55% or 6.75 to trade at $1222.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.02% to 9.2615, while USD/SEK fell 0.15% to 8.3016.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 95.44.
