Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 2.79% or 8.10 points to trade at 298.50 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 1.72% or 3.90 points to end at 230.20 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 1.65% or 0.64 points to 39.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 1.02% or 2.8 points to trade at 272.2 in late trade. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 0.81% or 1.28 points to end at 156.47 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) shed 0.54% or 0.90 points to 165.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 319 to 289 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.90% or 0.57 to $64.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.78% or 0.52 to hit $67.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1332.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 10.0320, while USD/SEK fell 0.06% to 8.1598.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 89.89.
