Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 4.35% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.10 at the close. Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) added 4.12% or 3.80 points to end at 96.00 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) was up 3.47% or 2.50 points to 75.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which lost 1.73% or 0.53 points to trade at 30.11 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.72% or 28.00 points to end at 1,600.00 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) shed 1.44% or 1.50 points to 102.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 487 to 281 and 75 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.49% or 0.34 to $69.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $72.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.22% or 31.60 to trade at $2,612.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.60% to 11.32, while USD/SEK fell 0.67% to 10.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 101.04.
