Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.56% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 8.49% or 36.0 points to trade at 460.0 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.74% or 19.2 points to end at 720.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 2.48% or 4.5 points to 188.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which lost 2.80% or 2.79 points to trade at 96.83 in late trade. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 2.60% or 3.8 points to end at 141.9 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) shed 1.04% or 1.02 points to 96.78.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 316 to 311 and 54 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.84% or 0.45 to $54.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.15% or 0.71 to hit $62.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.95 to trade at $1316.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.38% to 10.4396, while USD/SEK rose 0.66% to 9.1736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.002.
