Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 7.82% or 17.60 points to trade at 242.80 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 3.86% or 6.1 points to end at 164.2 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.23% or 9.20 points to 294.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 14.99% or 2.96 points to trade at 16.79 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 5.85% or 6.30 points to end at 101.40 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) shed 4.49% or 2.43 points to 51.67.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 384 to 365 and 75 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.50% or 0.26 to $52.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $58.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.54 to trade at $1274.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.38% to 9.7351, while USD/SEK rose 1.31% to 8.3264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.82% at 94.30.
