Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.16% or 10.00 points to trade at 326.60 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) added 2.14% or 4.00 points to end at 190.60 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) was up 2.13% or 5.20 points to 247.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 5.24% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.79 in late trade. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 3.68% or 1.19 points to end at 31.13 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 0.72% or 1.20 points to 166.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 388 to 374 and 74 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.56% or 2.66 to $77.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.06% or 2.39 to hit $80.46 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 16.45 to trade at $2,468.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.37% to 11.59, while USD/SEK fell 0.38% to 10.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.96.
