Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 6.61% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.88 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.16% or 10.20 points to end at 333.00 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.64% or 2.60 points to 157.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which lost 1.27% or 1.00 points to trade at 79.60 in late trade. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) declined 1.00% or 0.40 points to end at 40.70 and Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) shed 0.99% or 8.40 points to 838.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 406 to 350 and 91 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.20% or 0.88 to $74.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.27% or 0.97 to hit $77.13 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 12.56 to trade at $2,684.96 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 11.49, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.04% to 11.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 109.00.
