Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 10.43% or 0.65 points to trade at 6.93 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.52% or 3.50 points to end at 142.60 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) was up 1.88% or 0.55 points to 29.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which lost 0.63% or 0.30 points to trade at 50.60 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) declined 0.45% or 0.90 points to end at 186.20 and Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb) shed 0.38% or 1.20 points to 305.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 461 to 301 and 90 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.44% or 1.85 to $74.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.95% or 1.54 to hit $77.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.02% or 26.10 to trade at $2,534.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.35% to 11.36, while USD/SEK rose 0.50% to 10.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 101.58.
