Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 2.18% or 4.4 points to trade at 206.0 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 2.16% or 10.8 points to end at 511.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.92% or 0.65 points to 71.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 1.27% or 0.54 points to trade at 41.96 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.09% or 2.80 points to end at 254.95 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) shed 0.74% or 5.1 points to 682.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 315 to 268 and 67 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.31% or 0.90 to $69.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.92% or 0.67 to hit $73.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 5.90 to trade at $1217.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 10.3010, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.9284.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.30.
