Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.02% or 1.6 points to trade at 80.9 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.36% or 3.2 points to end at 239.1 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 0.68% or 1.4 points to 206.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.06% or 1.10 points to trade at 34.81 in late trade. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 1.09% or 2.70 points to end at 246.00 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) shed 0.98% or 7.0 points to 705.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 347 to 289 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.70% or 0.94 to $54.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.54% or 0.34 to hit $62.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1319.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 10.4048, while USD/SEK rose 0.37% to 9.0971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.537.
