Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 1.48% or 0.28 points to trade at 19.26 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 0.88% or 0.185 points to end at 21.230 and Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE) was up 0.65% or 0.115 points to 17.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mapfre (MC:MAP), which lost 2.58% or 0.071 points to trade at 2.682 in late trade. Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) declined 2.30% or 3.55 points to end at 151.00 and Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) shed 1.49% or 0.144 points to 9.500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 62 and 13 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 7.14 to $1304.36 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.25% or 0.73 to trade at $57.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.1793, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.83.
