Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb), which rose 2.49% or 0.60 points to trade at 24.70 at the close. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) added 2.05% or 0.18 points to end at 8.88 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was up 1.56% or 0.32 points to 20.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR), which lost 1.32% or 0.04 points to trade at 3.13 in late trade. Acerinox (BME:ACX) declined 1.19% or 0.11 points to end at 9.13 and Repsol (BME:REP) shed 1.17% or 0.15 points to 12.69.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 128 to 59 and 24 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 2.40 to $2,543.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.48% or 0.35 to hit $73.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.49% or 0.38 to trade at $77.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 101.39.
