Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acerinox (MC:ACX), which rose 4.70% or 0.535 points to trade at 11.930 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 2.77% or 0.600 points to end at 22.270 and Ferrovial (MC:FER) was up 2.66% or 0.490 points to 18.890 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Endesa (MC:ELE), which lost 1.20% or 0.245 points to trade at 20.260 in late trade. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) declined 0.47% or 0.031 points to end at 6.510 and Inditex (MC:ITX) shed 0.36% or 0.120 points to 33.105.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 120 to 46 and 24 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.62 to $1315.28 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.74% or 0.38 to trade at $51.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1924, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.9217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 92.62.
