Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Goods and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial (MC:FER), which rose 1.59% or 0.270 points to trade at 17.270 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 1.29% or 0.360 points to end at 28.180 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was up 1.21% or 0.130 points to 10.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which lost 1.71% or 0.440 points to trade at 25.300 in late trade. Acciona (MC:ANA) declined 1.18% or 0.800 points to end at 66.920 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) shed 0.95% or 0.175 points to 18.310.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 122 to 67 and 17 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.40% or 5.40 to $1352.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.25% or 0.15 to hit $60.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.38 to trade at $63.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.2463, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8883.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 88.83.
