Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MC:IDR), which rose 3.62% or 0.475 points to trade at 13.590 at the close. Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) added 1.57% or 2.45 points to end at 158.45 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was up 1.41% or 0.315 points to 22.730 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which lost 1.25% or 0.119 points to trade at 9.415 in late trade. Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) declined 1.20% or 0.052 points to end at 4.270 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) shed 0.93% or 0.08 points to 8.524.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 84 and 22 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.05% or 13.98 to $1311.22 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.44% or 0.22 to hit $50.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.24 to trade at $55.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1930, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 91.90.
