Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), which rose 1.48% or 0.62 points to trade at 42.46 at the close. Indra A (BME:IDR) added 1.41% or 0.24 points to end at 17.26 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was up 1.19% or 0.24 points to 20.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bankinter (BME:BKT), which lost 1.27% or 0.10 points to trade at 7.49 in late trade. Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) declined 1.17% or 0.24 points to end at 19.82 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) shed 1.01% or 0.24 points to 23.56.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 81 and 28 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.65 to $2,633.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.37% or 0.27 to hit $73.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.63% or 0.49 to trade at $76.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.60.
