Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.05% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG), which rose 1.45% or 0.093 points to trade at 6.525 at the close. Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) added 1.41% or 0.058 points to end at 4.170 and Banco Santander (MC:SAN) was up 1.21% or 0.064 points to 5.344 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which lost 3.96% or 0.510 points to trade at 12.370 in late trade. Enagas (MC:ENAG) declined 1.68% or 0.410 points to end at 24.050 and Acciona (MC:ANA) shed 1.59% or 1.160 points to 71.620.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 61 and 14 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.46 to $1351.76 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.94% or 0.95 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.62% or 0.34 to trade at $54.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.2037, while EUR/GBP fell 0.64% to 0.9118.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 91.28.
