Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Insurance and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 3.55% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300), which rose 9.94% or 0.92 points to trade at 10.18 at the close. Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020) added 2.54% or 0.26 points to end at 10.50 and United Electronics Company (SE:4003) was up 1.74% or 1.10 points to 64.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120), which lost 10.00% or 1.22 points to trade at 10.98 in late trade. ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) declined 10.00% or 2.44 points to end at 21.96 and Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370) shed 9.97% or 0.97 points to 8.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 177 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.99% or 1.23 to $62.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.07% or 1.46 to hit $72.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.80% or 10.25 to trade at $1297.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.17% to 4.2221, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 96.870.
